Bernie Sanders Leads Democratic Candidates in Private Jet Spending

Oh Bernie, what are we going to do with you?

Earlier this month Bernie’s campaign released exactly how much they spent last quarter on private jet travel. In total, the campaign spent almost $1.2 MILLION traveling on private jets.

Yeah, you read that right. The self-proclaimed climate activist with proposed plans to ban fracking spent over a MILLION dollars on private travel ALONE. Looks like all those campaign funds are burning a hole in ole Bernie’s pocket!

Not only did he spend an outrageous amount on private jet travel, but he also outspent every other Democratic candidate. And yes, that includes billionaire candidate Mike Bloomberg who spent less than HALF what Bernie did on private jet travel.

To give some perspective, Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s campaign spent $720,518 on private jet travel, and Pete Buttigieg’s campaign spent $323,518. Joe Biden’s campaign came in as a close second to Bernie, spending a little over $1 million on private jet travel.

All of these candidates have boasted about their plans to ban fracking and limit fossil fuel use. If one of their anti-oil and gas policies were put in place – whether it’s Bernie’s proposed fracking ban or the completely unrealistic Green New Deal – how exactly would these fractivists get around? Last time we checked, their precious private jets don’t run on sunshine and windmills!
